Just two blocks from the Alamo, our next stop, the attraction features one-of-a-kind animal exhibits, a historic saloon, café, gift shop and the Texas Ranger Museum. Kick off the fun by practicing your sharp shooting skills at the Toepperwein Shooting Gallery.
Or explore hundreds of unique animal species from around the world. Then, browse The Texas Ranger Museum which houses hundreds of Texas Ranger artifacts including revolvers, automatic handguns, sawed off shotguns, badges, photographs and much more. The Buckhorn Saloon and The Texas Ranger Museum are open daily at 10AM.

Established in 2006, The Texas Ranger Museum, houses hundreds of Texas Ranger artifacts including revolvers, automatic handguns, sawed off shotguns, badges, photographs and much more. Notable Texas Rangers exhibited in the collection include, Ray Martinez, Joaquin Jackson, John B. Armstrong and Frank Hamer.
The highlight of the Texas Ranger Museum is Ranger Town, a recreation of San Antonio at the turn of the century.
We were able to explore this western town complete with a replica Buckhorn Saloon, a working jail cell, blacksmith shop, newspaper and telegraph office. Ranger Town is also home to the Bonnie and Clyde exhibit - complete with a vintage ‘34 Ford V8 Deluxe, the couple’s famous getaway car.
